WHY WE QUIT THE JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES

My wife and I, with our two grown sons, plus their wives and children, all walked away over ten years ago from Jehovah’s Witnesses, who are self-entitled as “The Truth” or the “Organization.” They asked not to be called a religion, church, or a cult. However, facts prove that they are all three.

None of our family who quit were disfellowshipped. Please, let me tell you why we quit and simply walked away.

1. The Jehovah’s Witness movement’s leaders have been accused of practicing many doctrinal inconsistencies.

2. Making doctrinal reversals, books have been written on this topic, such as “Shutting The Door To The Kingdom Of God”.

3. Making many failed predictions or prophecies.

4. Mistranslating tas in removing the word “cross and crucifixion” from the Bible, replacing it with “stake” in order to make themselves seem more right and “Truthful.” Careful research proves that for 600 years, Romans used crosses to crucify, not a stake, as JWs contend. By removing the words “cross” and “Crucifixion” from the Bible, they assert that their edited NWT Bible is more accurate, which has been proven as not true

5. Harshly treating former Jehovah’s Witnesses;

6. Leading the Jehovah’s Witness movement in an autocratic and coercive manner.

7. Jehovah’s Witnesses have also been criticized because they have rejected blood transfusions, even in life-threatening medical situations.

8. A long history of failing to report cases of sexual abuse to the authorities.

9. Silently joining the UN 1991-2001, while telling the congregation members worldwide that the UN is the evil wild beast of Revelation while warning us we should have NOTHING to do with her.

10. Authoritarianism and denial of free speech.
